“…Morachi Chincholi is a village in the state of Maharashtra, India that hosts a wild population of approximately 500-600 Indian peafowl in its agricultural landscape in close association with human habitation (based on unpublished data of population surveys done by authors in 2016, 2017, 2019). According to Paranjpe and Dange, 17 approximately 30 to 35kg of food grains are offered in Morachi Chincholi per day at specific places in the village throughout the year which are referred here as 'food provision sites'.
