A tale of three cities: Remembering ‘Betty’ Eisenstein

Abstract

This remembrance of distinguished print history authority, Elizabeth Lewisohn Eisenstein (1923–2016), by an established literary specialist and rare book collector, recounts intersections with Dr Eisenstein and her writings in three cities: Detroit (MI), Madison (WI), and New York City. The article includes three captioned images of Eisenstein and her published work, and closes with a brief discussion of her considerable legacy.
