The main idea in the distribution system is to reconfigure the network and to change the sectionalizing switches' state to reduce power loss and maintain system stability. In network reconfiguration, a key role is to find the appropriate network topology that does have the lowest losses during any conditions present within the network. Reliability, security, and system operating limitations are the most significant parts of the network reconfiguration that are suitable. In the work, the authors suggested to apply Tabu search optimisation technique to solve the problem of network reorganisation in the distribution system by creating a stochastic model of a virtual zone based on data prepared in a previous study by the first author. The stochastic model consists of four feeders and 106 buses. The validity of the suggested technique is verified by relying on standard practices and its ability to establish a correct network topology in the system distribution. This investigation determines that the suggested technique is excellently suitable for creating a virtual zone network and can be applied in reality.

The present study explores the collective influence of component commonality, adjustable-rate, postponement, and rework on the multi-item manufacturing decision. In contemporary markets, customer demand trends point to fast-response, high-quality, and diversified merchandise. Hence, to meet customer expectations, modern manufacturers must plan their multiproduct fabrication schedule in the most efficient and cost-saving way, especially when product commonality exists in a series of end products. To respond to the above viewpoints, we propose a two-stage multiproduct manufacturing scheme, featuring an adjustable fabrication rate in stage one for all needed common parts, and manufacturing diversified finished goods in stage two. The rework processes are used in both stages to repair the inevitable, nonconforming items and ensure the desired product quality. We derive the cost-minimized rotation cycle decision through modeling, formulation, cost analysis, and differential calculus. Using a numerical illustration, we reveal the collective and individual influence of adjustable-rate, rework, and postponement strategies on diverse critical system performances (such as uptime of the common part and/or end products, utilization, individual cost factor, and total system cost). Our decision-support model offers in-depth managerial insights for manufacturing and operations planning in a wide variety of contemporary industries, such as household merchandise, clothing, and automotive.

Redes de sensores sem fio tem como objetivo o monitoramento de vários aspectos dos ambientes onde são instaladas. Os nós de sensoriamento transmitem os dados coletados do ambiente pelos nós vizinhos até que sejam entregues ao sorvedouro para registro e contabilização. Existem diversos ataques que podem interromper, total ou parcialmente, a coleta desses dados pelo sorvedouro, como blackhole, sinkhole e gray hole/selective forwarding. Este trabalho apresenta um framework de camada de aplicação para redes de sensores sem fio (RSSF) baseadas em RPL, que detecta e mitiga ataques de interrupção de tráfego de dados, ao mesmo tempo em que informa o sorvedouro (e os gestores da rede) sobre os nós suspeitos usando uma rota alternativa, evitando assim a interceptação e/ou interrupção pelos atacantes. A reação local faz com que os nós afetados releguem os atacantes a nósfolhas, impedindo-os de atuarem como roteadores, efetivamente mitigando os ataques. Ao concentrar a função de monitoramento ao sorvedouro, os gestores da rede conseguem identificar os nós comprometidos, e com isso removê-los físicamente da rede. Os experimentos realizados mostram que o framework proposto superou os trabalhos encontrados na literatura quanto a taxa de entrega de pacotes, e manteve a taxa de perda de pacotes próxima de 2% ou inferior na maioria dos cenários testados. Além disso, também conseguiu manter um baixo overhead de mensagem de controle (4,67% em cenário sem ataque e 9,74% em cenário com ataque). Ao mesmo tempo, foi também capaz de fornecer aos gestores da rede informações sobre a localização dos invasores.
