Abstract:Diabetes mellitus is among the most challenging public health problems worldwide due to its increasing prevalence and its associated complications, affecting individuals, healthcare systems, and economies. Insulin, a crucial hormone for maintaining glucose homeostasis, is secreted by pancreatic β-cells.
