Abstract: Human neutrophils have a vital role in host defense and inflammatory responses in innate immune systems. Growing evidence shows that the overproduction of reactive oxygen species and granular proteolytic enzymes from activated neutrophils is linked to the pathogenesis of acute inflammatory diseases.
