“…The construction of the phase diagrams of formulations was carried out in order to evaluate the amount of water to be added to the formulation and then to compare the efficiency of the different components used in terms of this incorporation [12,16,24]. The pseudo-ternary phase diagram was carried out using different weight ratios of the oil phase and surfactants (1:9; 2:8; 3:7; 4:6; 5:5; 6:4; 7:3; 8:2; 9:1).…”

“…Grade D Dull, greyish-white emulsion having slightly oily appearance that is slow to emulsify (longer than 2 min) Grade E Formulation exhibiting either poor or minimal emulsification with large oil droplets on the surface test was applied. SEDDS formulations were submitted to different thermodynamic stress conditions, including a heating/cooling cycle (45°C and 4°C) and a freeze/thaw cycle, (−21°C and +25°C) with storage at each temperature for not less than 48 h. In addition, centrifugation stress (3000 rpm for 30 min at 25°C) was performed and the extent of phase separation was monitored [16,25]. Stress stability studies were carried out with a SEDDS formulation in a climatic chamber (Nova Ética 420/ CLDTS 300 model, São Paulo, Brazil) at 40 ± 2°C and 75± 5% of relative humidity [26].…”

“…The use of copaiba-oil resin (COP) and babassu oil (BBS) and incorporated into self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS) [115]. The physical characteristics of the resulting nanoemulsion were next analyzed to identify the preparation suitable for in-vitro toxicity and in-vivo tests.…”

“…Since oral administration of sildenafil shows pharmacokinetic disadvantages, many studies with nanoformulations based on nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) (Nafee et al 2018), nanoparticles suspensions (Beck-Broichsitter et al 2012), solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) (Paranjpe et al 2013) have been reported to improve these issues. A promising approach is the use of self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS) which have been successfully developed and designed to improve solubility, dissolution, and oral bioavailability of different drugs (Wu et al 2006, Atef & Belmonte 2008, Lu et al 2008, Baek et al 2013, Constantinides 1995, Kommuru et al 2001, Kang et al 2004, de Abreu et al 2018.…”
