In this fast-moving world, time is no less than a luxury. People prefer technology and services which reduce their workload and are time efficient. Busy shopping malls with loads of customers and long queues during billing make it loads of inconvenient for people, to enjoy their shopping experience. So here comes our proposed idea into the highlight as “Smart Shopping E-cart using IoT”. Providing convenient, faster, and less stressful way, to enjoy our shopping. The project consists of an RFID reader module (ES18), RFID tags, a Liquid crystal display, LED lights, a buzzer, a motion detector, NodeMCU, and push-buttons. This paper is focused on the implementation of the Smart Shopping E-cart which not only provides the basic functionality of a cart but also provides a convenient way of shopping. Reducing the task of cashier and long billing calculations. Keywords: Smart E-cart, RFID, IoT, Shopping Malls, Anti-theft.

This article presents a verification process of a new metric designed for transmission continuity optimization. Unlike the commonly used metrics, it focuses solely on flow continuity and sustainability, disregarding the maximization of throughput or minimization of latency. We base our metric on inter-packet gaps analysis and ordering of packets from multiple communication flows into a final flow. We also compare our metric with the commonly used one based on Jain's fairness index in cases when optimization of communication flow sustainability is the priority. We present the evaluation of results and analyze the data processing complexity. Moreover, we discuss the weaknesses and strengths of different approaches to communication flow optimization.

The modern age of technology in which most of the customer needs to wait in the supermarket for shopping because it is a highly time-consuming process. A huge crowd in the supermarket at the time of discount offers or weekends makes trouble to wait in long queues because of a barcode-based billing process. In this regard, the Internet of Things (IoT) based Smart Shopping Cart is proposed which consists of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensors, Arduino microcontroller, Bluetooth module, and Mobile application. RFID sensors depend on wireless communication. One part is the RFID tag attached to each product and the other is RFID reader that reads the product information efficiently. After this, each product information shows in the Mobile application. The customer easily manages the shopping list in Mobile application according to preferences. Then shopping information sends to the server wirelessly and automatically generates billing. This experimental prototype is designed to eliminate time-consuming shopping process and quality of services issues. The proposed system can easily be implemented and tested at a commercial scale under the real scenario in the future. That is why the proposed model is more competitive as compared to others.
