The IoT, or Internet of Things has been a major talking point amongst technology enthusiasts in recent years. The internet of thing (IoT) has been emerged and evolved rapidly, making the world's fabric around us smarter and more responsive. The smart home use one such transformation of IoT, which seems to be the wave of the future. However, with the increasing wide adoption of IoT, data security, and privacy concerns about how our data is collected and shared with others, has also risen. To solve these challenges, an approach to data privacy and security in a smart home using blockchain technology is proposed in this paper. We propose authentication scheme that combines attribute-based access control with smart contracts and edge computing to create a secure framework for IoT devices in smart home systems. The edge server adds scalability to the system by offloading heavy processing activities and using a differential privacy method to aggregate data to the cloud securely and privately. We present several aspects of testing and implementing smart contracts, the differential private stochastic gradient descent algorithm, and system architecture and design. We demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed system by fully examining its security and privacy goals in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Finally, we undertake a performance evaluation to demonstrate the proposed scheme's feasibility and efficiency.

The Internet of Things aggregates devices able to capture information and interfere in the environment, in such a way to obtain, generate and send data on a large scale to different domain application systems, such as agriculture, industry, trade, and governments. These systems need a security layer to guarantee, among other requirements, the irrefutability of transactions and the integrity of the manipulated data. In this sense, an integration with the blockchain technology, through smart contracts, would meet this need. Blockchain is a disruptive technology that offers a digital trust network for conducting transactions between peers, often unknown. This chapter presents a recent boarder research of IoT with blockchain; introduces a classification of layered blockchain technology and conducts a comprehensive study on consensus strategies and IoT applications with blockchain. In the end, it offers a guide with information that allows interested parties to design training in this area, including the realization of practical exercises. ResumoA Internet das Coisas agrega dispositivos capazes de capturar informações e interferir no ambiente, de maneira a obter, gerar e enviar dados em larga escala para sistemas de domínios de aplicações diferentes, tais como agricultura, indústria, comércio e governos. Estes sistemas precisam de uma camada de segurança para garantir, dentre outras características, a irrefutabilidade das transações e a integridade dos dados manipulados. Neste sentido, a integração com a blockchain, através dos contratos inteligentes, atenderia a esta necessidade. A blockchain é uma tecnologia disruptiva que oferece uma rede de confiança digital para a realização de transações entre pares, muitas vezes desconhecidos. Este capítulo apresenta pesquisas recentes na fronteira da IoT com a blockchain; apresenta uma classificação da tecnologia de blockchain em camadas e realiza um estudo amplo sobre as estratégias de consenso e aplicações IoT com blockchain. Ao final, fornece um guia com informações que permitam aos interessados a concepção de treinamentos nesta área, contemplando, inclusive, a realização de exercícios práticos.

At present, enterprises need data for data analysis. They mostly use a kind of point-to-point data transmission form, which does not have regulation mechanism in the process. However, it has the problem of low data reliability, including two parts as follows: 1) Faulty sensor affects the collected data amount of the terminal server; 2) Offensive data invade the data in transmission. In view of this, we propose the hierarchical private cloud architecture, including three aspects as follows. Firstly, we use distributed computing and virtualization capabilities of cloud computing to realize the hierarchical transmission of data. Secondly, through this mechanism of hierarchical transmission and classification algorithm of machine learning, we realize hierarchical filtering of offensive data. Finally, by combining hierarchical transmission mechanism with threshold value, classification algorithm, and limit tolerance mechanism, we regulate the data amount to monitor fault sensor in real time. Experiments are conducted to assess the proposed architecture's performance. The results show that each layer acts as a protective screen to counterattack the offensive data, which shows good robustness, real-time, and adaptive ability. Moreover, compared with OM mode, the identification efficiency of fault sensor of TM mode is improved by 2 times. Also, TM mode improves 33.33% identification acuity, which is suitable for the enterprises that are mainly based on streaming computing. In summary, the hierarchical private cloud architecture achieves the filtering of offensive data and the real-time identification of faulty sensor, which guarantees the security, accuracy, and integrity of the data transmission process.
