Abstract

L'A. formule une série de principes, pratiques et éthiques, qui doivent présider à la conception et à la conduite des recherches interculturelles. Une bonne rechetche interculturelle est (i) celle qui repose sur les efforts conjugués de deux ou plusieurs chercheurs de pays différents; (2) chacun d'eux doit être pris en charge, à la fois moralement et matériellement, par des institutions de chacun des pays concernés; (j) ils doivent s'attaquer à des problèmes qui présentent un intérêt pour L'un et pour L'autre, non seulement du point de vue de la psychologie en tant que science, mais (4) du point de vue des problèmes sociaux de notre temps. Ces recherches en collaboration doivent (5) partir d'une définition commune du problème, (6) utiliser des méthodes comparables, (7) mettre les données en commun; ces données étant la “propriété” de L'un et de L'autre des collaborateurs, chacun est libre (8) de proposer des interprétations personnelles, mais (9) ils doivent faire effort pour trouver des interprétations acceptables par L'ensemble des chercheurs du monde entier.
