A Summarized Review on Friction Stir Welding for Aluminum Alloys

Abstract: This paper explains the precept and methodology of FSW. It covers some of the technical sides which influence the process and quality of FSW joint. Large advance has been accomplished in friction stir welding (FSW) of aluminum in every side of tool manufacture, microstructure properties estimate in the last decennia. With the development of reliable welding tools and precise control systems, FSW of aluminum has reached a new level of technical maturity. influence on butt joint arrangement is studied. Effect on… Show more

“…By modelling friction stir welding transient analysis in Ansys 19.2, the temperature of the system is estimated; von misses stress and static deflection are missed. ANSYS Design Modeler (DM), which is included in the ANSYS application, is used for CAD modelling [14].…”

“…A solid-state welding technique for friction stir welding (FSW) has progressed as a progressed joining technique for aluminium matrix composite weldin [11,12] As the joint takes place in the solid state, a consolidation-instigated formation is consequently not present in the nugget region in friction stir welding. Therefore, all the shortcomings associated with fusion joining processes are gone [13][14]. Some ABSTRACT -Demand for metal matrix composites (MMCs) is expected to increase in these applications, such as in the aerospace and automotive sectors.…”
