The proliferation of technology offers potential solutions for enhancing the well-being of older adults. However, older adults often have low digital literacy and are disengaged from the digital world. With age-appropriate training, older adults are expected to acquire a wide range of technological skills and bridge the digital divide. Through the lens of social cognitive theory, this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of observational training through behavior modeling in enhancing technology acceptance in older adults. The moderating effects of model identity on training outcomes from a generational perspective are examined. An empirical training experiment was completed with 59 community-dwelling older adults. Training outcomes were measured using cognitive knowledge, affective variables, and meta-cognition. The results ascertain the effectiveness of observational training in improving their technological knowledge, self-efficacy, outcome expectations, and sense of social connectedness when using technologies. From a generational perspective, the older adult behavior model is more effective than the young or child behavior models in increasing self-efficacy and willingness to use technology. The model identity further enhances the positive outcomes of training. The results of this study contribute to designing educational interventions to bridge the digital divide.

Introduction: Curriculum learning through the wisdom tree massive open online course platform not only gets rid of the limitations of specialty, school and region, eliminates the limitations of time and space in traditional teaching, but also effectively solves the problem of educational equity. Objectives: This paper proposes an intelligent algorithm combining decision tree, support vector machine, and simulated annealing to obtain the best classification accuracy and decision rules for university students' satisfaction with the wisdom tree massive open online course platform. Methods: This study takes the university students in Fuzhou city information management department as the survey object, and adopts the electronic questionnaire survey method. A total of 1136 formal questionnaires were responded, and 1028 valid questionnaires were obtained after data cleaning and deleting invalid questionnaires (the effective rate was 90.49%). In this paper, the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested by IBM SPSS-20.0 software, and six explanatory variables including function, achievement, exercise, quality, richness, and interaction were obtained by principal component analysis. Then, the questionnaire data is converted to CSV (comma separated values) format for analysis. This paper proposes an intelligent algorithm combining decision tree, support vector machine, and simulated annealing to obtain the best classification accuracy and decision rules for university students' satisfaction with the wisdom tree massive open online course platform. In this paper, the proposed algorithm is compared with decision tree, random forest, k-nearest neighbor, and support vector machine to verify its performance. Results: The experimental results show that training set classification accuracy of decision tree, random forest, k-nearest neighbor, only support vector machine and the proposed algorithm (simulated annealing + support vector machine) are 92.21%, 96.10%, 95.67%, 97.29%, and 99.58%, respectively. Conclusion: The proposed algorithm simulated annealing + support vector machine does increase the classification accuracy. At the same time, the 11 decision rules generated by simulated annealing + decision tree can provide useful information for decision makers.

Digital technology influences our lives in various ways. Today, the escalating pace of social, economic, and technological changes at home, at work, in the community, and in global society creates a perpetual need for everyone, including older adults, to engage in lifelong learning habits. When it comes to learning and using technology, older adults are often stereotypically described as a homogenous group that lags, causing them to have low or no interest, experience anxiety, or lack self-confidence. A standard view is that older citizens are usually hesitant and worried about using technological devices such as computers or smartphones and feel nervous and timid about their ability to use the latest technology. This paper aims to look into past research on how advanced technologies create sustainable learning opportunities for older adults. This study is conducted following the guidelines of RepOrting standards for Systematic Evidence Syntheses (ROSES), explicitly designed for systematic reviewing and mapping for environment management. The ROSES protocol aims to aid researchers in distinguishing a variety of physical, mental, emotional, and social barriers that affect older adults' ability to use information technology effectively.
