Raziskava se posveča pomenu in stanju podjetniškega arhivskega gradiva v Republiki Sloveniji. Podjetniško arhivsko gradivo predstavljajo med drugim pomembne stvaritve slovenskega gospodarstva, pojem pa zajema načrte, recepte, kroje, organizacijske procese in druge oblike delovanja podjetij. V pregledu literature so predstavljeni zgodovinski razvoj in primerjalni pregled hrambe ter nadaljnje uporabe podjetniškega arhivskega gradiva. Z uporabo opisne, kvantitativne raziskovalne metode analiziramo vzorec 175 insolventnih gospodarskih družb v obdobju 2009–2021. Z analizo ugotavljamo, ali in v kolikšni meri država zagotavlja hrambo in nadaljnjo uporabo podjetniškega arhivskega gradiva. Rezultate primerjamo s stanjem v drugih, analiziranih državah.
