Objetivo : avaliar criticamente conteúdos de publicações sobre nascimento e nascimento em páginas sobre o assunto na rede social facebook®. Método : estudo quantitativo, descritivo, realizado no Brasil entre os meses de março e abril de 2019. Foram publicadas oito páginas e selecionadas como cinco publicações recentes sobre nascimento e nascimento, analisadas criticamente de acordo com o instrumento que buscou verificar as estatísticas de seleção na escolha do tipo de parto, uma concordância com a literatura dos conteúdos das publicações; os tipos de publicações, período das postagens e localização dos criadores das páginas; e como repercussões das publicações. Esses dados foram tabulados usando o Microsoft Excel® 2016. Resultados :das 40 publicações, apenas três não apresentadas que pudessem indicar um tipo de partição específica, 28 infladas sobre a partição normal, dez apresentadas embasamento científico e 34 estavam de acordo com a literatura. Conclusão : a maioria das publicações estava em concordância com a literatura e, quanto às repercussões, apesar do grande número de curtidas e compartilhadas, com poucos comentários. Essas informações podem ser usadas na construção de um estreitamento de relações entre a tecnologia e a saúde, para tornar o facebook® um aliado na promoção da saúde.

Objective: To analyze the reliability of information available on popular websites about vaccination of pregnant women according to the recommendations of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. Method: Descriptive and comparative study. For data collection, a checklist composed of information on recommended, contraindicated, and indicated vaccines in special situations during pregnancy, according to the Ministry of Health, was elaborated. Results: None of the analyzed websites presented all the recommended information. Contraindications, most common adverse events, simultaneous administration of vaccines, information on the DT vaccine, and recommended vaccines in special situations were presented by a minority of websites. Conclusion: Information available on websites about the vaccination of pregnant women is not always based on the recommendations and misinformation may interfere with the acceptance of this practice. The importance of the professionals of the multidisciplinary team as information mediators, particularly the nurse, is emphasized, as is the need for regulating the production and dissemination of information on the internet.

INTRODUCTIONThe purpose of this study was to explore the learning needs and the digital health literacy of pregnant women in Greece regarding perinatal health and care issues.METHODS This was a qualitative study involving thirteen Greek pregnant women, in two focus groups of primiparous and multiparous. The interview topic guide was developed by consensus during a training workshop of the European Baby Buddy Forward research program. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and inductively content analyzed. RESULTS Pregnant women described a range of learning needs and identify antenatal classes, health professionals, Internet, books, friends and relatives, as their main sources of information. Women expressed satisfaction in terms of their communication with midwives, but they expressed ambiguity regarding communication with doctors. With regard to the Internet, women highlighted their concern about the validity of information and point out the difficulties they face in order to access reliable scientific resources. Moreover, the process of seeking information online occurs in parallel and independently from healthcare providers, who discourage it, thus, many women were reluctant to discuss any information they retrieved from the Internet with health professionals. CONCLUSIONS The content of antenatal classes should be tailored to address pregnant women learning needs more holistically. However, taking into consideration that a major source of information for pregnant women is the Internet, it is vital for health professionals to acknowledge this reality and provide pregnant women with trusted websites. It is also particularly important for health professionals to practice their communication skills and update their digital knowledge.
