A Study on the Relationship Between Street Typology and Human Behavior in the Periphery Kampong of Kapuk, Jakarta, Indonesia

Abstract: This study analyzed the relationship between street typology and human behavior activities in Kelurahan Kapuk of West Jakarta. The study employed mixed qualitative methods of interviews, mapping, and observation of 85 houses and 1142 activities.The survey found that although different street typologies exist, the main influencing factor for street based human activities relates to physical amenities, social-cultural practices and the width of the street/alley.
