The motivation for this study about Physical Layer Security comes from bridging the gap between the vast theory and a feasible implementation. We propose a Physical-Layer-Security Box as a system-level Box is a system-level solution, named PLS-Box, to solve the key exchange between two wireless communicating parties. The PLS-Box performs a novel key generation method named time-frequency filter-bank. The entropy of the radio channel is harvested via a filter-bank processing, and then turned into a reciprocal security key, at both ends. In this concept work, we also focus on several PLS open issues, such as radio-frequency imperfections and accessibility to the baseband communication modem. The goal is to show a wide applicability of our PLS-Box to actual wireless systems, paving the way for an evolution of existing schemes.

The world population is anticipated to increase by close to 2 billion by 2050 causing a rapid escalation of food demand. A recent projection shows that the world is lagging behind accomplishing the "Zero Hunger" goal, in spite of some advancements. Socio-economic and well being fallout will affect the food security. Vulnerable groups of people will suffer malnutrition. To cater to the needs of the increasing population, the agricultural industry needs to be modernized, become smart, and automated. Traditional agriculture can be remade to efficient, sustainable, eco-friendly smart agriculture by adopting existing technologies. In this survey paper the authors present the applications, technological trends, available datasets, networking options, and challenges in smart agriculture. How Agro Cyber Physical Systems are built upon the Internet-of-Agro-Things is discussed through various application fields. Agriculture 4.0 is also discussed as a whole. We focus on the technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) which support the automation, along with the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) which provides data integrity and security. After an in-depth study of different architectures, we also present a smart agriculture framework which relies on the location of data processing. We have divided open research problems of smart agriculture as future research work in two groups -from a technological perspective and from a networking perspective. AI, ML, the blockchain as a DLT, and Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF) based hardware security fall under the technology group, whereas any network related attacks, fake data injection and similar threats fall under the network research problem group.

Internet of Things (IoT) is the most emerging field in Information Technology. IoT will make real-world objects into virtual objects and allows them to be sensed remotely. The IoT biological community is changing and getting to be appealing over a more extensive scope of controls, consequently their development in prevalent innovation. Security and protection are the key issues for IoT applications and still face some huge difficulties. Pervasive IoT gadgets have genuine security suggestions as they happen in extensive numbers, are topographically dispersed and can be hard to physically verify. These gadgets may contain touchy or economically profitable information making them appealing to different types of assault. It is discovered that a large portion of the gadgets is defenseless against assaults on hardware, firmware as well as web interface level. In this paper, vulnerabilities due to Insufficient Security Configurability, Insecure Firmware, Security Misconfiguration of IoT devices, recommendations for those vulnerabilities and an approach to reproduce those attacks is explained so as to provide better security to IoT Devices.
