A Study on the Application of Coordinated TOPSIS in Evaluation of Robotics Academic Journals

Abstract: While TOPSIS is a widely used evaluation method, it lacks evaluation from the perspective of indicator coordination. Based on the analysis of TOPSIS evaluation methods, this paper proposes a new assessment method, coordinated TOPSIS, which takes into account the advantages of TOPSIS evaluation methods and the coordination level of evaluation indicators. Taking the robotics academic journals as an example, the TOPSIS evaluation and the coordinated TOPSIS evaluation results are compared. The research shows that … Show more

“…To void this problem, the absolute IS and the absolute NIS should be used [15]. Considering that TOPSIS lacks evaluation from the perspective of attribute coordination, Yu et al (2018) proposed coordinated TOPSIS, which takes into account the coordination level of attributes [16].…”

“…Mathematics 2019, 7, 614 2 of 17 TOPSIS is a type of multi-attribute decision-making method, in which complementarity exists among attributes. When some attributes are inferior, they can be complemented by the other superior attributes in the decision results [16]. However, in some decision or evaluation problems, the coordination or balance of attributes is very important to be considered, such as evaluation of information system [17], decision of real estate location [18], and evaluation of academic journals [16].…”
