Abstract:The present study investigated the antioxidant activity of flower, stem and leaf extracts of Astragalus ovatus DC. plant. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined in methanolic extracts of Astragalus ovatus DC. flower, stem and leaves. Leaf of Astragalus ovatus DC. Exhibited the highest activity of those parts tested. Total phenolic content and total flavonoid content for this part of plant were determined as 6.88 mg GAE/g and 2.80 mg QUE/g, respectively.
