A Study on North Korea's cyber crime trends and Institutionalization of Response System Establishment

Abstract

North Korea's cybercrimes are targeting the whole world to the extent that it is difficult to easily estimate the damage results beyond cyberspace by way of more sophisticated criminal means. In particular, in relation to cybercrimes against South Korea, which have been concentrated since Kim Jong-un came to power, a close analysis of the relevant incidents from time to time will be the most basic study in establishing our response system in the future. In this regard, this study analyzes and describes issues by period, focusing on major cases among North Korea's cyber crimes against South Korea after Kim Jong-un came to power, and proposes an institutionalization plan to build a response system.
