A study on Indian monsoon disturbances

Abstract

SummaryIt is shown that the mutual interaction of the diabatic heating wave and pressure wave can further explain the northward movements of monsoon depression and hurricane in addition to the westward movements and developments (as shown in [1 ]). Also, the constancy of ratio-amplitude parameter is established from mathematical consideration. The limiting stages of the developing disturbances are discussed in more details. Zusammenfassung Eine Untersuchung der St6rungen im Indischen OzeanEs wird gezeigt, dat~ die gegenseitige Wechselwirkung yon diabatischer Erw~irmungswelle und Druckwelle die Nordw~irtsverlagerungen der Monsun-Depressionen und der Hurrikane zusgtzlich zu ihren Westw~irtsvedagerungen und Entwicklungen (wie in [ 1 ] gezeigt ist) erkl~ren kann. In einer mathematischen Betrachtung wird auch die Konstanz des AmplitudenverhNtnisses der beiden WeUen als Parameter bewiesen. Die Grenzstadien der sich entwickelnden St6mngen werden im Detail besprochen.
