A study on dynamic evaluation of urban integrated natural disaster risk based on vague set and information axiom

Abstract: This study presents a dynamic assessment model of urban integrated disaster risk. Considering the complexity and uncertainty of the integrated risk assessment, the model is proposed based on vague sets, information axiom, and comprehensive assessment method with the speed characteristics. Firstly, the integrated risk evaluation index system is determined on analysis of the risk factors. Evaluation indexes are quantified using vague sets. Secondly, information value of each index is calculated based on informat… Show more

“…Therefore, the various aspects of comprehensive evaluation are dynamically treated. Liu C et al proposed a dynamic assessment model for urban natural disaster risk by comprehensively considering the state of change speed and the trend of change speed of risk evaluation indicators [7]. Considering the dynamics of a coupled distribution network-heat pump-energy storage system (DN-HP-ESS), Li M et al established a dynamic empowerment model to dynamically adjust the static empowerment results of the indicators to realize the dynamic comprehensive evaluation of the DN-HP-ESS [8].…”

“…In Cheng and Hoang [2012], an evolutionary fuzzy least-squares support-vector machine (LSSVM) inference model is applied to evaluate the risk of bridge damage. In addition, eigenvalue and projection pursuit methods are used in Hexiang and Qingjuan [2007] to forecast the risk of flood; a fuzzy classification model and linear weighted mean model are used in a two-level fuzzy synthetic evaluation system in Liu et al [2009b] to evaluate the fire risk ranking of buildings; and a dynamic assessment model based on vague sets, information axiom, and comprehensive assessment method is proposed in Liu and Zuo [2015] for evaluating urban multihazard, integrated natural disaster risk.…”

“…Since then fuzzy set has received great attention and got lots of applications in various fields [2][3][4][5]. Many extensions of Zadeh's fuzzy set, such as vague set, intuitionistic fuzzy, hesitant fuzzy set, etc., have been proposed and been utilized management decision and engineering science problems [6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. Fuzzy integral, first introduced by Sugeno in 1974, is an important analytical tool to measure uncertain information [13][14][15][16][17][18].…”
