A study of turbulent flow of solutions of a polymer and a surface-active substance

Abstract: We give the results of laser doppler anemometer measurements of the velocity profiles and mean-square values of the longitudinal velocity pulses in the flow of solutions of a polymer (polyacrylamides) or a surface-active substance (undustrial "metaupon" paste) that lower hydrodynamic frictional resistance and mixtures of such substances.
