A Study of the Time–Space Evolution Characteristics of Urban–Rural Integration Development in a Mountainous Area Based on ESDA-GIS: The Case of the Qinling-Daba Mountains in China

Abstract: Abstract:The multi-index comprehensive evaluation method is used in this paper to estimate the urban-rural integration development level of the Qinling-Daba Mountains in China and build an evaluation index system that is composed by five subsystems and 18 basic indexes. The integration of the indexes is conducted through linear weight sum method and the weight of each index is determined through analytic network process to get the urban-rural integration development coordination indexes of each county in the Q… Show more

“…For this reason, the use of the ANP is proposed because it develops a better representation of the complex interactions, interdependencies and feedback relationships among the different components of problems like those of RRI (Saaty and Peniwati 2008;Sipahi and Timor 2010;Botero et al 2015;De Lotto et al 2016;Shiau and Chuen-Yu 2016;Wu and Cui 2016). This way, besides, it avoids the compensation problem of other models (Peris et al 2013).…”

“…The time-space analysis method, which this paper selected can often reveal and forecast the development trends of spatial patterns [24,25]. The evolution of Vietnam's (or China's) geo-economic spatial pattern can be clearly demonstrated by the tendency of geo-economic relations between Vietnam (or China) and other Asia-Pacific countries in time and space.…”
