A Study of Role of Immediate Tracheostomy in Critically Ill Adult Patients in an Icu of Tertiary Hospital of Andhra Pradesh

Abstract: BACKGROUNDTracheostomy is done in patients with compromised airway to simplify its long term effects on the outcome of the underlying disease. Indications of tracheostomy have not changed but its timing has been shown to have definite effect on the outcome of the underlying disease.
