The initial graft tension during ACL reconstruction is an essential mechanical parameter. We established a viscoelastic lateral mechanical measurement model. Based on this model, we designed the online measurement system for the initial graft tension during ACL reconstruction. 22 patients with chronic ACL deficiency were treated by single-bundle ACL reconstruction. 12 patients underwent single-bundle ACL reconstruction (group 1), whereas 10 underwent single-bundle ACL reconstruction using the online tension measurement system (group 2). All patients were followed up with the Lysholm score and International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score to evaluate knee joint function. The Lysholm scores and the IKDC scores of the two groups were significantly higher at 1 month and 3 months after the operation with a significant difference, and the Lysholm scores and the IKDC scores of the instrument group (group 2) was significantly higher than those of the control group with significant difference (group 1). In the same ACL single-bundle reconstruction, the application of the online initial graft tension measurement system can provide quantification for the initial graft tension of ACL, improving the current situation in which only experience can be used to estimate the initial graft tension.

In ancient Chinese feudal society, the status of women was very low, and women's behavior, language expression, and thought were all imprisoned. For example, the "three-inch golden lotus" is not only to meet the sexual psychology of male perversion but also to destroy the female body, so that women can not travel, thus imprison-women; "Three and four virtues", "good women do not marry two husbands", "women without talent is a virtue" are shackles on female thought. With the progress and development of society, the status of Chinese women has significantly improved, especially women's self-awareness has been greatly improved. At present, the more popular female literary works and dramas of female protagonists are the reflection of female independence and feminist thought. This article begins with the popular TV series “The Rumor of Chen Qianqian”, analyzes the story of the heroine who passes through the past and grows up in the city of Huayuan where women are respected and men are inferior and analyze the growth demands of women in modern society. At the same time as the current social progress, there is still a lot of discrimination and prejudice against women, such as the stereotype that housework is a task exclusively for women, and once women have children, they lose all their desires and needs. In particular, the article calls on society to strengthen publicity to avoid prejudice against women. At the same time, women should pay attention to their personal needs and grow into better themselves; Women are neither dependent on nor hostile to men, and they divide labor reasonably, give play to their respective strengths, and live in harmony.

Toward the Improvement of the Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Braided Ligament for ACL Reconstruction: A “Carrot and Stick” Strategy

Bone tunnel enlargement has been troubling the clinical adoption of braided artificial ligaments for decades, to which mechanical and tribological performance promotion shall be an effective and promising approach. Herein, a “carrot and stick” strategy has been introduced with two types of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers to fabricate hybrid textures, which is expected to advance fatigue and tribological performance without yielding essential mechanical strength and biocompatibility. Owing to advancements in such a “carrot and stick” strategy, the obtained grafts present three promising properties: i) enhancement of mechanical strength; ii) COF reduction of 25% at the greatest extent, thus lowering the risk of bone tunnel enlargement; iii) final displacement shrinkage of graft length after cyclic loadings, favored in the clinic for isometric reconstruction. The results obtained in this study show that the “carrot and stick” strategy can be a creative and convenient method to optimize the service life, saving the complication rate of artificial ligaments for clinical applications.This article is protected by copyright.
