“…Although all patients showed good evidence of microsomal enzyme induction, interindividual differences in the response to rifampicin were observed. Joshi et al (1980) also noted that of 9 women treated with a low-dose combination oral contraceptive and rifampicin 8 to 10 mg/kg, 3 experienced menstrual irregularities while 2 showed a premenstrual rise of plasma progesterone levels. Both plasma concentrations and AVC for norethisterone declined significantly.…”
