Abstract:Introduction
Otitis media is one of the most common causes of fever in children. The Eustachian tube plays an important role in this disease, and a defect in this tube is found in about 70% of patients who undergo middle ear surgery. The etiology is usually multifactorial. The most common pathogen found in this disease is Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Children most at risk are those with low incomes.
