A stroma szerepe a tumorok kialakulásában és progressziójában

Abstract: Az elmúlt évtizedben egyre nagyobb fi gyelem helyeződött arra, hogy rákos megbetegedések során a tumorok nem csupán a kórosan osztódó, mutációkat hordozó sejtekből állnak, hanem valójában komplex "szövetnek" tekinthetők. Ugyanis a folyamatban elengedhetetlenül fontos szerepet játszanak a tumorsejteket körülvevő egyéb szöveti sejtek is, hiszen segítő mikrokörnyezet nélkül a tumor nem lenne képes kialakulni és fejlődni. A következő rövid összefoglaló bemutatja, hogyan befolyásolják a stromasejtek a tumor kialaku… Show more

“…The awareness of the tumor microenvironment (TME) has been proposed more than one hundred years ago. In the meantime, cancer research has discovered many several noteworthy roles of TME components not only in cancer metastasis, but also in cancer metabolism and development (31)(32)(33). TME consists of a web of cancer cells, stromal cells, immune cells, CAFs, exosomes, and extracellular matrix.…”

“…Further on, it becomes evident that this autonomy is not complete. All neoplasias ultimately depend on the host for their nutrition and vascular supply; many forms of neoplasias require endocrine support [7,8]. Some neoplastic cells are "immortal"; they die when the host dies, which indicates the intimate and intricate neoplasia/host relationship [9,10].…”

“…Другой потенциальной мишенью, связанной со стромой опухоли, является повышенный внеклеточный рН. Было показано, что бикарбонат натрия способен тормозить переход опухоли из статуса in situ в инвазивный рост [38].…”
