The visualize data representation is the way of communication adapted by the person who cannot speak. One of such language adopted by person is hand gesture. To represent different alphabets, numerals, words and symbols there are number of hand gestures. When pictorial information is retrieved in this form, it is required to identify the particular symbol in automated way. The gesture recognition is introduced to improve such communication.In this work, an improved feature analysis approach is defined to perform hand gesture recognition. This work used the intelligent spiking neuron based approach to reduce the dataset size and to improve the recognition accuracy. The spiking neurons are here defined to extract the gesture feature and represent it in the form of neuron curve. Later on PCA approach is applied to identify the gesture. The obtained results from system show the effective recognition ratio.
