Abstract:Six years ago U.S. Army Natick Research, Development and Engineering Center created a program to obtain soldier feedback on its products - those currently in the field as well as those under development. This feedback is obtained through field tests and systematic user surveys and is augmented by a number of other procedures. The program is effective it has spurred design changes and has given the Army's product developers substantive data bases to use in their decision making.
