A Smart System to Generate and Validate Question Answer Pairs for COVID-19 Literature

Abstract: Automatically generating question answer (QA) pairs from the rapidly growing coronavirus-related literature is of great value to the medical community. Creating high quality QA pairs would allow researchers to build models to address scientific queries for answers which are not readily available in support of the ongoing fight against the pandemic. QA pair generation is, however, a very tedious and time consuming task requiring domain expertise for annotation and evaluation. In this paper we present our contri… Show more

“…That helped to augment the original passages for better retrieval performance. Bhambhoria et al [95] employed both the T5 transformer model and the rule-based method (a syntactic parser) to generate QA pairs for COVID-19 literature. In this study, we apply the BERT model and its detailed implementation.…”

“…With the emergence of the Covid-19 coronavirus, design and construction may not remain the same; narrow spaces at work may become unworkable, and no place can be crowded again. Given the constructive response to this pandemic, architects must do their best to adopt all the new trends available in this sector [9][10][11]. With the staggering acceleration, smart systems based on technical tools such as cellular devices, the Internet, satellite TV, global signature systems, geographic information systems, etc., have entered every country [12].…”
