A small-volume, high-throughput approach for surface tension and viscosity measurements of liquid fuels

Abstract: An ongoing effort looking at bioblendstocks to function as drop-in replacements or blending components for gasoline has identified a large number of candidate fuels. This work documents an approach for rapid screening of candidate fuels using relatively small sample sizes (O(µ l)) that targets two key physical properties of liquid fuels-surface tension and viscosity.
