Abstract:Scalable representation of video mostly consists of some layers that may correspond to various spatial and temporal resolution. In order to match exactly the channel throughput, fine granularity scalability may be used. It is usually achieved by quality (SNR) scalability that scales the bitstream of an enhancement layer. In this paper, a very simple and straightforward technique of fine granularity scalability is considered. It consists in partitioning of a stream of encoded macroblocks. The new issue is re-or… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
