A short review on different techniques used for site selection of air quality monitoring stations

Abstract: Air pollution has become a serious concern across the world in the last few decades. In specific cities, the air quality index value had changed from very unhealthy to a hazardous level of health concern. Air pollution has a serious impact on daily lives in those cities. Monitoring of air pollution is becoming necessary these days. Air quality monitoring stations are installed to get the air pollution data, which indicates in the air quality index (AQI) value. In order to contain a proper air quality index (A… Show more

“…Many countries endowed with substantial solar and wind power source actively pursuing the development of this environment friendly and pollutant-free energy source. Kollati and Debnath (2021), the techniques employed for site selection over the past few decades were systematically examined, providing a comprehensive analysis that has been widely utilized by the scientific community and policymakers.…”

“…The use of fuzzy logic in security-related assessments builds upon a foundation of research within the broader field of decision support systems and risk analysis. Traditional decision-making models often rely on crisp, binary categorizations (Wahid et al, 2023;Kollati & Debnath, 2021), which can lead to oversimplification and inadequate representation of complex realities. Fuzzy logic, on the other hand, enables the modeling of gradations and degrees of membership, allowing for a more nuanced representation of uncertainties inherent in security contexts (Božanić & Pamučar, 2010;Si & Ganguly, 2021;Obradović & Pamučar, 2020).…”
