A Short Review of All-Dielectric Topological Photonic Crystals

Abstract: Topological photonics is an emergent field at the cross of photonics and topological physics which opens our eyes to novel topological phenomena and versatile photonic effects. Photonic crystals (PhCs) are the optical analogs of conventional crystals that have proven to be an excellent photonic platform to explore topological physics. Here, we present a brief review of the all-dielectric topological PhCs by focusing on several prominent milestones of topological phases, such as the Su-Schrieffer–Heeger model, … Show more

“…The application chosen to demonstrate the capabilities of the multibeam lithography in this work is the creation of a hexagonal anti-dot array with the critical dimension of 600 nanometers that can be further used to make photonic 1 Photonic crystals are periodic, nanostructured surfaces and three-dimensional structures that are tailored to have forbidden energy regions in their band structures that inhibits propagation of electromagnetic waves with certain wavelengths. Alternatively, they can be designed to improve the transmission of certain wavelengths while inhibiting others.…”
