Abstract: Spark discharge is essential for extracting energy from triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs). However, the lack of universal technical standards for most discharge switches limits their widespread application. Herein, a buck circuit utilizing gas discharge tube (GDT) as discharge switches is presented.
