“…In this peer mentoring intervention, a young adult with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co‐occurring mental health condition serves as the peer mentor. This contrasts with the majority of ‘peer’‐delivered interventions for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, which are delivered by same‐age individuals without disabilities (e.g., An et al, 2019; Athamanah et al, 2020; Curtin et al, 2016) who cannot relate to the experience of being a young adult with a disability. Research suggests that the intervention was feasible and that participants endorsed the intervention approach and activities.…”
