Abstract:Underwater acoustic communication has currently become a popular field of research. Underwater Acoustic Channels (UACs) are characterized by severe effects like multipath propagation, Doppler shift and scaling, intersymbol interference (ISI), frequency dependent attenuation and ocean noise.
