“…The adsorption capacity of the zeolite AlPO4-LTA is 370 mg g −1 at 70% relative humidity (RH), 19 which is less than that of the synthesized Zn 0.4 Co 0.6 Fe 2 O 4 at 95% RH (present work). The water-vapor regeneration temperature of silica gel and zeolites is even higher (100-200 °C), 20 making them an energy-intensive adsorbent material, 21 while it is even less for Zn 0.4 Co 0.6 Fe 2 O 4 (45 °C) (present work).…”

“…Given the growing demand for these applications as populations continue to urbanize, the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants is crucial. 2 Energy transfer via refrigerants involves controlling the fluidphase properties by adjusting the system temperature and pressure. This engineered control over the refrigeration cycle allows for heat transfer between the refrigerant and a heat exchange fluid.…”

“…Refrigerants are employed in applications that require a medium for energy transfer (typically thermal), such as cooling, heat pumps, air conditioning, etc. Given the growing demand for these applications as populations continue to urbanize, the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants is crucial …”

“…One of the effective approaches to improving the cooling performance of ACs is exploring high-performing adsorbent/refrigerant working pairs. Ammonia with zero-carbon and high hydrogen content , has been widely used as a working medium for ice-making, refrigeration, heating, and heat storage. Recently, ammonia has also received growing research interest as an effective hydrogen carrier. , Except for environmental friendliness, the large vapor pressure and enthalpy of evaporation (around 1 MPa and 1165 kJ/kg at room temperature) endow ammonia with a superior refrigerant for ACs, which favors heat and mass transfer. Since the first working pair of AgCl 2 /ammonia was used by Michael Faraday in 1823, many ammonia-related working pairs based on chemical and physical adsorption have been reported .…”
