The rapid growth of airlines over the last period has led to the development of the aviation industry, resulting in increased requirements for ancillary services. Nowadays, the demand for the use of paper-based documents is increasing day by day as airlines encourage passengers to use more ancillary products. One of the most important issues in the aviation industry is flight safety. The procedures and instructions required for all aviation operations are organized in accordance with the regulations and printed on paper in accordance with the demands. For this reason, since it is mandatory to keep all aircraft maintenance, repair, and operation records on printed paper and to keep them for a certain period of time, aircraft fly with almost their entire weight on paper. Considering the global hazards in the world, although the aviation sector is the least environmentally damaging of all transportation sectors, new solutions have been sought to make aviation operations less harmful to the environment, minimize errors and risks, allow for faster communication, and be safer and more sustainable. In order to meet the demands, studies on reducing the use of paper have been brought to the agenda. In this study, after a literature review, real data from a maintenance, repair, and overhaul organization are used to suggest digital conveniences that can save costs, increase productivity, save space, facilitate documentation and information sharing, keep personal information more secure, and help the environment through paperless living.

Accurate forecasting of future events is essential for managing and optimizing airport activities, facilitating the minimization of adverse environmental impacts. The availability of detailed information about yearly aircraft movements at Vilnius City International Airport (VNO) offers an opportunity to create various scenarios that projects the growth patterns within airport and aviation industry in general. This scientific research paper explores the temporal trajectory of VNO with a focus on forecasting its evolution towards reaching major airport status of 50 000 aircraft movements per year. The study employs quantitative method in forecasting data with cycling origin using the ratio to moving average method also known as Time Series Method (TSM). Calculations are done by Microsoft Excel software with which regression trend line is obtained. Two various scenarios are projected: the continuous use of Terminal 1 (T1) and the introduction of new Terminal 2 (T2). Forecast show that continuous use of T1 will reach threshold of 50 000 flights per year by end of 4th quarter of 2025. For T2 it is projected that 53 110 flights will be done at VNO at the end of the same year T2 is projected to become operational: 2026 4th quarter. These findings underscore the necessity of strategic planning and infrastructure development to accommodate future growth and increase airport efficiency in line with growing demands.

The complex environment of aviation created dynamic air transport systems where the quality is vulnerable and directly sensitive to the supply side due to the high strategic level of driven market environments. The significance of quality quantifications has grown rapidly. Calculating quality factors is not a simple task, due to the heterogeneous, inseparable and incomprehensible characteristics of the system. For this purpose, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) survey was distributed among two groups of 22 experts of pilots and ATCOs and applied by creating a three-level hierarchy model of the air transport supply quality to evaluate and weigh the critical characteristics. In the hierarchical structure, 4 main criteria, 15 first-level sub-criteria, and 12 second-level sub-criteria were used for the air transport supply quality model.
