A Review on Standardizing Electric Vehicles Community Charging Service Operator Infrastructure

Abstract: The deployment of charging infrastructure is one of the main challenges that need to be tackled due to the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs). Moreover, EVs associated with different charging standards can face compatibility issues while charging via public or private infrastructure. Many solutions were surveyed by researchers on EVs, but they were not focused on addressing the issue of charging infrastructure standardization. Motivated by this, we present a comprehensive survey on standardizing EV … Show more

“…Strikingly, in 2022, Slovakia [182], Slovenia, Croatia [183,184], the Czech Republic [185][186][187], Austria [188,189], and Hungary will have better ratios than the EU average. The two countries with the largest territorial size and population, Poland [190] and Romania [191][192][193], are lagging significantly behind. However, the standard deviation of the values is significant, with extremes of 3.87 (Slovakia) and 19.17 (Romania).…”

“…As climate change demands that we switch to environmentally friendly technologies, vehicle manufacturers shift their focus from conventional internal-combustion-engine-powered vehicles towards electric ones [8]. The rapidly growing number of electrical vehicles demands widespread and handily applicable EV charging infrastructure development, correspondingly [9]. In addition to the primary purpose of EV batteries, to store energy for their operation, together with acting as financially motivating tools, they are considered to be an additional tool helpful for the power balancing of electrical power systems [10][11][12].…”
