Abstract

The work undertakes a study of the literature on engine technology, HEV simulation software, and engine simulation software in addition to hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology. HEVs have smaller engines and onboard energy storage systems than traditional cars, which improves fuel efficiency and reduces pollutants. As a means of achieving fuel efficiency and emissions requirements, the integration of diesel engine technology into a HEV layout shows potential.
