A Review of the Surgical Management of Breast Cancer: Plastic Reconstructive Techniques and Timing Implications

Abstract: The oncologic management of breast cancer has evolved over the past several decades from radical mastectomy to modern-day preservation of chest and breast structures. The increased rate of mastectomies over recent years made breast reconstruction an integral part of the breast cancer management.
