A Review of the Main Techniques to Avoid the Formation of Hydrates

Abstract: Natural gas hydrates are crystalline solids composed of water molecules and light hydrocarbons. The most favorable conditions for the formation of hydrates are high pressure and low temperature. The accumulation of hydrates is a significant problem for the oil industry, as it can result in blockages in the transportation and production lines, or hamper the drilling of wells.
