<span>Building on a coincided in progress paper, this paper constructs and evaluate an information systems architecture (ISA) model for the Bahraini architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) sector, from the lens of enterprise architecture (EA). This model acts as an information and communication technology (ICT) barometer tool to identify and benchmark the ICT’s gaps, duplicative levels, and future investments. Following the design science research, this paper and throughout a utilization of a tailored version of the open group architectural framework (TOGAF), embedded into a rigorous case study approach, the construction, testing, and evaluation of the conceptual ISA model is approached to benchmark the ICT measurement. Empirically, the study revealed the appropriateness of the model and the ability to identify the availability of 28 groups of 38 individual ICT applications in the Bahraini AEC sector and benchmark them to score an average of 18.5% against 17 countries that scored an average of 18.6%.</span>

The book Arudh & Qawafi is the work of the Caretaker of the At-Tarbiyah Guluk-Guluk Sumenep Islamic Boarding School, namely K.H. Wakid Yusuf, S.E. The book discusses Arabic literature in the form of Syi'ir and Nadham. The 2nd son of K.H. Nurul Huda Basyir has several religious texts, one of which is the book Arudh & Qawafi which is regularly reviewed by students majoring in Language (Arabic Literature). The religious texts or the works of the caregivers are still in the form of printed media, namely books, therefore in this digitalization era, the role of the santri to develop the field of information technology is very necessary. This study aims to build an Android-based application in order to make it easier for students, alumni, and sympathizers to access the Arudh & Qawafi Book practically. This application development applies the Extreme Programming (XP) software development methodology. Extreme Programming has several advantages, namely that it can perform updates without impacting the overall system design. This method is one of the methodologies that supports the acceleration of the development of a system with a minimum number of teams and produces software that meets the needs, including the planning phase, design phase, coding phase, and testing phase. By using the open source Flutter Framework, the Arudh & Qawafi book application can be accessed via mobile more effectively and efficiently.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a powerful technology that can be utilized throughout a construction project lifecycle. Transition to incorporate AI technologies in the construction industry has been delayed due to the lack of know-how and research. There is also a knowledge gap regarding how the public perceives AI technologies, their areas of application, prospects, and constraints in the construction industry. This study aims to explore AI technology adoption prospects and constraints in the Australian construction industry by analyzing social media data. This study adopted social media analytics, along with sentiment and content analyses of Twitter messages (n = 7906), as the methodological approach. The results revealed that: (a) robotics, internet-of-things, and machine learning are the most popular AI technologies in Australia; (b) Australian public sentiments toward AI are mostly positive, whilst some negative perceptions exist; (c) there are distinctive views on the opportunities and constraints of AI among the Australian states/territories; (d) timesaving, innovation, and digitalization are the most common AI prospects; and (e) project risk, security of data, and lack of capabilities are the most common AI constraints. This study is the first to explore AI technology adoption prospects and constraints in the Australian construction industry by analyzing social media data. The findings inform the construction industry on public perceptions and prospects and constraints of AI adoption. In addition, it advocates the search for finding the most efficient means to utilize AI technologies. The study helps public perceptions and prospects and constraints of AI adoption to be factored in construction industry technology adoption.
