A Review of COVID-19 Deaths among Law Enforcement Officers in the United States

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of law enforcement officers in the United States who died from COVID-19 in 2020–2021. Data were drawn from the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) website. Results reveal that 729 law enforcement officers died from COVID-19 between 2020 and 2021, with the majority of these deaths occurring in the southern region of the United States.
