“…It is reported that the distance between the two fingerprint peaks (E 2g and A g ) of MoS 2 has a strong correlation with the number of layers. 34–36 As for the bare LPE MoS 2 , we find a wavenumber difference of 24.3 cm −1 , indicating that the average number of layers in the sample is around 3. On the other hand, for all the HJs presented here, an observed wavenumber difference of over 25 cm −1 between the two representative peaks probably indicates an increased number of MoS 2 layers.…”

“…Monolayer MoS 2 exhibited strong bands at ∼387 and ∼405 cm −1 , which are associated with in-plane vibrations of two S atoms with respect to the Mo atom (E 2g 1 ) and out-of-plane vibrations in the opposite direction of S atoms (A 1g ), respectively. 28,29,35,55 As the MoS 2 layer number increased from 1L to 4L, the E 2g 1 band red-shifted (∼385 cm −1 for 4L), whereas the A 1g band blueshifted (∼409 cm −1 for 4L). This behavior is consistent with previous studies.…”

“…Shan et al 123 demonstrated a MoS 2 -based Bio-FET for glucose detection at extremely low concentrations. MoS 2 is bound through weak van der Waals interactions 124 , 125 and has great potential as a channel material owing to a few uncoordinated bonds on the surface, a stable structure, and low leakage currents due to a direct bandgap. 120 , 126 MoS 2 nanosheets showed good electrochemical sensitivity to glucose with a linear response in the range of 0–30 mM with a detection limit in the range of 300 nM.…”
