Abstract: Sanayi devriminden önce yapı malzemeleri doğal ve yalın halleriyle yapılarda kullanılabilmekteydi. Sanayi devriminden sonra yapı malzemelerinin endüstride üretilmesi sürecinde, fabrikalarda kullanılan kimyasallar, yapıştırıcı ve vernikler nedeniyle uçucu organik bileşik, formaldehit gibi kullanıcının sağlığına zararlı bileşenler malzemenin yapısına işlenmektedir.
