Connected cars offer safety and efficiency both for individuals as well as for fleets of vehicles, companies and public transportation. However, equipping vehicles with information and communication technologies also raises privacy and security concerns, which significantly threaten the user's data and life. Using a bot malware, a hacker may compromise a vehicle and control it remotely, for instance he can disable breaks or start the engine remotely. In this paper, besides in-vehicle attacks existing in the literature, we consider new zero-day bot malware attacks specific to vehicular context, WSMP-Flood and Geo-WSMP Flood. Then, we propose AntibotV, a multilevel behaviour-based framework for vehicular botnets detection in vehicular networks. The proposed framework combines two main modules for attacks detection, the first one monitors the vehicles activity at the network level, whereas the second one monitors the in-vehicle activity. The two intrusion detection modules have been trained on historical network and in-vehicle communication using decision tree algorithms. The experimental results showed that the proposed framework outperforms existing solutions, it achieves a detection rate higher than 97% and a false positive rate lower than 0.14%.

To provide the Traffic Regulatory Authority with detailed driving status of vehicles when an accident occurs, this paper proposes an information collection and transmission strategy based on OBD technology and Android mobile terminals. This strategy records the representative detailed operation parameters and location information of traveling vehicles. It removes the drawbacks of server load existing in the conventional vehicle state-aware systems, due to collect and upload the data in real-time. At last, we achieve a highly efficient transmission process by compressing the uploaded data.

The analysis and discussion of the onboard diagnostic data will help understand the driver's behavioral characteristics and develop a sustainable transportation system. The research content of this paper is to mine the driving behavior data through the vehicle preload equipment, analyze the factors affecting safe driving and establish a prediction model. This study collected data from 50 Taiwanese drivers while operating in heavy traffic. Understand the driver's behavioral characteristics through data analysis, such as calculating the times of the driver's emergency braking is based on the driving speed. From this result, the index of dangerous driving is defined. In addition, the dangerous driving index and other variables were analyzed, and it was found that there was a significant relationship between dangerous driving and vehicle mileage and maximum speed. According to the results, the drive speed increases the driving risk, the mileage reduces the risk probability, and the prediction accuracy is 78.9%. Complete data needs to be collected to evaluate complete driving behavior characteristics for developing sustainable transportation goals.
