“…Concentration quenching can be increased if some big anion groups are incorporated into a matrix in which the Eu 3+ ions do not share any O 2− ions. 42 Pyrochlore structure can be treated as Figure 6. Observed (points), calculated (continuous line), and difference I obsd − I calcd (bottom line) profiles obtained after Rietveld refinement of Ca 0.8 Sr 0.2 Gd 0.9 SnNbO 7 :0.1Eu 3+ using GSAS program.…”

“…The comparison shows that the XRD peaks positions are similar to that of LGBO and LYBO crystals with a very slight shift in few peaks position. It confirms that the grown LYGBO crystal possess similar phase as that of LGBO and LYBO having monoclinic structure with P2 1 /c space group [29,37]. A slight mismatch in the peak positions is expected and is supposed to be the cause of difference in the radii of gadolinium (Gd, 1.15 Å) and Yttrium (Y, 1.04 Å) ions; however, such minor shift in peaks is hard to notice in Fig.…”

“…Recently, rare-earth doped inorganic phosphors play vital role in optoelectronic devices such as plasma display panel, light emitting diodes and thermo-graphic sensors [1][2][3]. In phosphor converted-LED lighting technology, the phosphors serve as a potential candidate for the generation of white light [4].…”
