“…With high selectivity and quick turn-on response, Fang et al 66 developed probe 39 for HClO − /ClO − . 1,3-Oxathiolane was used as the responsive group for HClO − /ClO − , whereas 2-HBT acts as the signalling unit.…”
Fluorescent and colourimetric probes for small analytes (cations, anions and neutral molecules) have drawn significant attention in recent years. These probes interact with analytes and induce spectral change due to...

“…Ratio-based fluorescent probes have become an increasingly popular research topic due to their ease of observation and low background interference caused by fluorescence changes. For example, Shirong Fang et al 39 and Saravanan Embanathan et al 40 synthesized HClO ratio probes with excellent properties. In this study, a novel ratio-based fluorescent probe (LW-1) was designed and synthesized for detecting hypochlorite using coumarin.…”
In this study, we designed and synthesized a novel ratiometric fluorescent probe, LW-1, using coumarin as a scaffold. LW-1 has the advantages of low detection limit, high sensitivity, good stability and low background interference.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
